Seat Track Extender Project

February 19, 2007

The seat track extenders for Corvairs are finally done.  I produced 69 of these; four for me and 65 for everyone else.  This first picture shows the entire kit; four brackets, two aluminum spacers, five bolts, five lock washers, five nuts and instructions.  Please note that these will fit my '65's front seats.  I am not warranting any other years fit, because I don't have any cars in which to test-fit it.

Here is a close-up of some of the kits ready to ship.

The instructions that come with the kit are as follows:

Installation Instructions and Important Legal Blather

Thank you for purchasing my Blatantly Ripped-Off Reproduction Fitch Seat Extender Kit (“BRORFSEK”). I have photocopied the original installation instructions, purely for historical purposes, which appear on the back of this sheet.  I have an original Fitch set of parts which is what I used as a template for this set.  Differences between the Fitch set and my BRORFSEK are:

All Grade 8 bolts and nuts should be torqued to 29 ft. lbs.  If you need more instruction than those on this sheet of paper, please take your car to your nearest automotive service center and ask the mechanic how much his next boat payment will be.

Just kidding.  Any questions, give me a call.
