Just Horsin' Around

CORSA International Convention

June 14-18, 2004

Part 3: Rally

We were excited about the rally on Thursday morning.  Jake, Allie and I had loved the rally the previous year at Carlisle and we were sure it would be fun this year, too.  The plan was that our Corsa would carry Jake, Caitlin, Joy and me, while John and Cathy would take Allison and Seth in their Monza.

There were a considerable number of entrants in the rally.  Here, Jake waits patiently for our tee time:

The rally took us through beautiful Kentucky horse country, past dozens of manicured farms.

At the end of the rally, Joy and I had a nice visit with John and Cathy while the three older kids went back to the room to relax.  It was apparent that Joy had found a kindred spirit which is a wonderful thing for me as she now has another "Corvair widow" to hang out with at club events.

In the afternoon, I spent some time tinkering with my carbs with Ken Hand.  They seemed to be doing better, but still the problem wasn't cured.

The evening was spent taking the kids to Pizza Hut and gorging ourselves, then stopping at Lowe's to get a whole bunch of tie down straps.  Tomorrow we were heading home.
